The Ginny’s Grannies blanket has been in the works in my head for a while now. About 10 years ago I crocheted an afghan loosely following a pattern from the 1977 Better Homes and Gardens Crocheting and Knitting book.
Ginny’s Grannies CAL part 10 finishes up the blanket! You should have enough time to finish your creation and still give it as a holiday gift.

Ginny’s Grannies CAL part 8 finished the outer section of crochet squares! This is so exciting, we have a rainbow of granny crochet awesomeness that just needs a border.

The Cozy Spirit Scoody is warm, fashionable, warm, unique, spirited, and warm! Wrap yourself up in your school or team colors so even in layers people know who you stand for. With Knit Pal yarn your colors will be just right. The Cozy Spirit Scoody only takes 2 skeins of Knit Pal yarn, but if you get one or two more, you could add pockets on the bottom, make the scarf section wider, or even make matching mittens. Oh, or socks!
Ginny’s Grannies CAL part 7 includes squares with a circle, a star, logs, and even a striped rectangle! This week things get interesting. Every square we make this month has something that makes it special to me. The first is has great texture and a neat color layout. The second was so hard to figure out, but once I did, it came together really well. The third and fourth just make me happy!

Cozy Spirit CAL Part 2 makes your scarf twice as long, now that’s cozy! I love the color play in this scarf, with the mirror image and the varying length stripes, it stays interesting. You may think we’re done here, but there’s more. Part 3 will add on a way to keep you even more warm and cozy.
It’s time for the Cozy Spirit CAL Part 1, and we are going to start our cozy scarf with a bonus feature to keep you extra warm on cold game nights. The bonus feature doesn’t happen until week 3, and you’re going to love it. This week we will make half the scarf. Don’t be an overachiever, the second half isn’t the same, so you’ll have to wait 2 weeks.
Ginny’s Grannies CAL part 6 is here! This month we finish the third side of the outer section granny squares. Motif 23 was so fun to design; it drove me a bit batty, but it ended up so cool. There are some really nifty motifs in this group. I hope you enjoy making them as much as I enjoyed designing them.
