Origami Kite Base – written and pictorial tutorial

The Origami Kite Base is the start of various Origami Patterns and also the start of the Diamond Base and the Fish Base. You will fine the written and pictorial pattern for the Origami Kite Base below.

Origami has been one of my hobbies since I was 8 years old. Many Origami Patterns start with an Origami Base: a folded form that starts a piece. This is one such base. You can find more Origami Base Tutorials for here: https://jessieathome.com/category/crafts/origami/origami-base/

Creativation 2018 After Party Shenanigans

Creativation 2018!

Hello all; I just got home from a long weekend in Phoenix for the AFCI (Association For Creative Industries) Creativation show. What a great time I had with so many great people!

I left the house early Thursday morning. While I waited for my flight at the airport, I made a little friend. Isn’t he a cutie?

Halloween 2017

Fall fun!

See what’s shakin’ with the Rayot girls at home from Holloween to Thanksgiving.

How has your fall been, my friends? I thought I’d share a bit about ours today.

Halloween 2017

The girls had a great Halloween. Kyla was Ahsoka Tano from Star Wars Clone Wars (the animated series, not the movie). Vada was a spider fairy. They got lots of candy and had a blast.

Crafty Love Link Party #25

Hello! Welcome to the September Crafty Love Link Party #25, hosted by Marie Segares and me. Did you know the Pantone color if the year is a shade of green? It’s sort of a grass green. Anyway, I was intrigued to see that the most clicked links in August were mostly green! I wonder what next month will bring?

Be sure to share this link party with all your crafty friends so they can link up as well, and find new and fun craft projects around the web. Every month, the Crafty Love Link Party will open up on the first Thursday at 1:00 a.m. Eastern and close on the last Thursday at 11:55 p.m. Eastern. Share your latest crafts projects, patterns, tutorials, tips, and WIPS, and be sure to stop by and leave comments on other projects, too! Here are the 6 most clicked links from last month.

Deco Foil Tutorial & Review from Jessie At Home

Hello all, I have a fun tutorial for you today featuring Deco Foil. Here is a list of what you will need with links to where you can find the items:
Deco Foil
Deco Foil Foam Adhesive Sheet
Card Stock
Glue Dots
Button
Pin Back
Hot Glue Gun
Cutting machine or scissors

Start off with your Deco Foam Adhesive Sheet. You’ll notice it has a sticker peel-off on both sides because both sides of the foam are sticky. Peel off one side (it doesn’t matter which) and adhere it to card stock. This will allow you to shape the final flower piece.
