That’s me, just chugging along. I try to do one thing at a time, but sometimes that doesn’t seem feasible. Oh well, I just make the best of it and do what I can.
I received a special order for a Max hat. A couple saw them at InsaniTea, and fell in love, but didn’t see one in the size and color they wanted. So above is a picture of the cute colors they picked out for their 6~12 month Max hat.

Just a quick post for you before I turn in for the night. Last week when my friend was over here (when I hurt my ankle,) she saw my stack o’ hats for my Max hat pattern, and asked if I could make her and her daughter a matching set.
So I picked up some sparklie pink and black yarn when I was finally able to go to the yarn store.
With cute braids woven in on the sides and a playful pom pom on top, the Miss Clause Hat is a fun look for the gift giving gal!
Bloom is a slightly loose fitting crochet hat pattern with a tie string that tightens it to fit and create a blooming flower.
So I had an idea the other day! The littles (26 month old twins) and I were sitting on the couch under an Afghan my Nana made. We were having a great time, but the fort was a bit small. So I thought I would like to make two granny square type blankets and stitch them together. That way we will have a BIG fort blanket, but as the girls get bigger I can separate the blankets and they can each have one. I don’t want squares, though. I’m thinking 6 sides (Hexagons).
I do know how to make hexagons, so now I just need to buy some fun yarn and come up with some pretty patterns. I want to do patterns with two or three colors, or non-open stitches. I don’t want tons of holes other then the center and the corners. That being said, I do like this one, even with the holes.
So yesterday I tested out a hexagon I already knew how to make.
I wasn’t too keen on it. I think I will start off with the pattern I linked. I’ll test more after I buy the yarn on Monday.
