I recently received a copy of Coastal Crochet by Karen Whooley to review, and let me tell you, it is full of lovely crochet creations in lightweight yarns! There are wraps, sweaters, shawls and other accessories. Twelve patterns in all.

I had so much fun making my Diamond Dotz canvas that I was sure these would be craft kits kids would like too. Turns out I was right, Diamond Dotz are a big hit with the girls. I wasn’t sure if their attention span would last, but Kyla and Vada found it so fun that they finished them in a couple of days. There are also some smaller kits that can be done in one sitting if you don’t have the time or the space for a larger/longer project. So if you are looking for craft kits kids would like, look no further than Diamond Dotz!
Quilling? The art quilling, rolled strips of paper shaped and glued together to make a decorative design. Alright I I’ll bit & thanks to 3 Bird Studio and their Quilling For All Occasions Kit I did it! Kids’ Felt Cuties by Kim Layton is full of fun and creative projects to that kids can make with felt. The finished projects provide hours of play time as well. The felt creations are easy to make and all the patterns are included along with very clear and detailed instructions. This book is a great to have on hand for rainy days this summer!

Polaroid Snap Touch Easy and Excellent Instant Photos
An awesome little digital camera that also takes video and prints out 2″ x 3″ pictures right from the camera.
