Stitchopedia Tutorial

The Geometry Mosaic Crochet Stitch creates a geometric design on both sides when worked in alternating colors.

Geometric Mosaic Stitchopedia Crochet Video Tutorial - CoverPin

Yarn used in this tutorial was provided by WeCrochet. All opinions are my own.

For this tutorial I’ve changed color every row. In order to not have to cut the yarn every row, I’ve used the pulled and dropped loop method. This is the same method I used for this stitch in Section 8 of the Suzie’s Stiped Sampler Blanket CAL. You can also simply turn at the start of every row and change colors as you please.

Geometry Mosaic Stitch Written Instructions with Photos

The Geometry Mosaic Stitch is worked over a multiple of 28 plus 3 stitches. For the video and chart in this tutorial I started with a base of 59 single crochet. The stitch pattern begins with row 2. I’ve also included a finishing row to end your swatch with a row of single crochet. The first and last rows of single crochet are simply to neaten up the top and bottom of your swatch if you want to keep it for future reference. I like to staple mine to an index card with the name of the pattern on it.

Pay attention to Right Side (RS) and Wrong Side (WS) rows, as this method makes it so they do not always switch every row.

Section 8: Geometry in Two Colors (using pulled and dropped loop method)
