Embroidered Messenger Bag Tutorial – A great use for your finished embroidery

| Accessory, Bag, Craft Tutorial, Crafts, Embroidery, Needlepoint, Sewing, Sewing Pattern

This embroidered messenger bag was inspired by the embroidered turtle I made last year from a Global Artisan kit. I knew I needed to make it into something for Vada, because she’s my turtle-loving child. Vada’s in middle school this year, and is getting more social. I thought of making a petite messenger bag for her because it’s a great way to show off the fun little turtle, and she’s not into purses. She loves it, and I hope you do too!

Middle School beginnings and more to come – Selfie Sunday

Middle school beginnings can be so rough, but I am super happy to say the twins are handling it like champs! They have great friends and great attitudes. We’ve had some bumps that are typical at their age, but we are working through them. Every night ends with “I love you”, and every morning starts with “good morning.” So I call that a win.

Snag Repair Needles from Clover – or how to repair your winter coat after a harrowing attack

| Crafts, Crochet, Knit, Review, Sewing

This post may contain affiliate links. If you purchase something from one of these links I will be compensated. Thank you.

I bought myself a brand new winter coat at the beginning of this winter. Shortly thereafter I was out and about, minding my own business, when I was viciously attacked by a prickly bush (it was an attack prickly bush, I certainly didn’t walk into the bush on my own because I’m a klutz). My beautiful new coat was snagged in several places and I was so sad!
